History and Applications of Industrial Embroidery

Industrial embroidery is embroidery performed at high speed and on a large scale with modern machines. Unlike traditional hand embroidery, it is controlled by automatic machines and suited to serial production, allowing logos, patterns and decorations to be applied quickly and durably to textile products.

Its origins date to the invention of the first automatic embroidery machines in the 19th century. Computer-assisted machines later enabled digital programming of designs, making complex patterns fast and error-free.

Applications span sportswear, work uniforms, promotional products, home textiles, leather goods and more. It is essential for applying brand logos with quality and permanence.

Different thread types, colours and stitch techniques are used; laser cutting and appliqué can enrich designs. Industrial embroidery is indispensable for both visual quality and production efficiency in textiles.
